NPRC calls for doubled control over price hike

National Development and Reform Commission (NPRC) has announced recently that the stabilization of the overall level of price by price control departments at various levels will be the top priority of this year's work. Meanwhile, the relevant departments should also take all necessary measures this year to make the overall price level hit the desired results.

The analysis of NPRC shows that there are still some harmful and unstable factors existing in the current economic life, and the negative impact of sharp price hike of means of production upon the downstream sectors begins to show. The shortage of coal, electricity and oil transport and supply has not been settled once and for all. There are many uncertain factors that could trigger the abnormal fluctuation of price, and the pressure on price hike is still heavy.
