Airbus A380, the largest passenger aircraft ever built, will have its maiden flight in April, Airbus President Noel Forgeard said Tuesday.
The A380 will fly in April, but the test flight "can not be scheduled to a particular day, " said Forgeard.
The confirmation came after repeated delays of the maiden flight that was originally scheduled for March.
Forgeard will be the next chief executive of EADS, the parent company of Airbus that holds 80 percent of Airbus shares.
Airbus said Monday the first flight of A380 is likely to take place in the second half of April.
