The 2005 Hanover Fair of Germany, one of the world's most important technology exhibitions, will witness some 6,000 exhibitors from 65 countries, organizers said Tuesday.
About 6,090 exhibitors will take part in the fair beginning on April 11 in the central German city of Hanover, 1,000 more than that of 2004, organizers said.
German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend opening ceremonies on Sunday evening, given that Russia will be the "partner land" of the 2005 fair.
Russian exhibitors will show their strong point in Aircraft construction at the fair, including the new medium-range jet "RRJ", Russian officials said. The jet is schedule to have its maiden flight at the end of 2006.
Some 3,200 German companies have signed up for the fair, while Italy with 449 companies takes the lead among foreign exhibitors, according to the organizers.
