Arab League reiterates support for China's Anti-Secession Law
font size

Said Kamal, deputy secretary general of the Arab League (AL), on Tuesday reiterated the pan-Arab organization's support for China's enactment of the Anti-Secession Law and said the league is against any move to split Taiwan from China.

Kamal made the remarks during a meeting with Chinese Middle East envoy Wang Shijie, who is currently on a four-day visit to Egypt.

The deputy secretary general said the league has long believed that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China and the AL backs all the efforts China has made to achieve peaceful reunification.

The AL secretariat and AL chief Amr Moussa have paid a lot of attention to the Anti-Secession Law and believed it is a law that seeks a peaceful reunification of China, he added.
