Chaozhou builds world ceramics production center

Chaozhou in south China's Guangdong Province, an ancient ceramics capital, is one of the birthplaces of ceramic culture. Currently Chaozhou produces a variety of ceramic products including artistic ceramics, domestic ceramics and electronic ceramics and it is among China's front rankings in terms of output and export volume of ceramic products.

The annual output of electronic ceramics base body accounts in Chaozhou accounts for 60 percent of the world's total and that of alumina ceramic substrate and zirconia ferrule for fiber optic connector ranks the third place in the world.

Chaozhou is striving to build the city into the world's center for research and development, manufacture and distribution of ceramic products.
