The Communist Party of China (CPC) is willing to beef up friendly exchanges and cooperation with parties of the Republic of Korea (ROK), said a senior CPC official in Beijing Wednesday.
Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when meeting with a ROK parliamentary delegation, headed by Kim Boo-kyum, member of the National Assembly of ROK Uri Party.
Wang spoke positively of present China-ROK relations and vowed to join hands with ROK parties to promote the all-round development of the bilateral cooperative partnership.
Kim Boo-kyum spoke highly of the active role of CPC and the Chinese government in maintaining the peace and stability of northeast Asia and the world.
He said that enhancing ROK-China exchanges is a consensus of ROK politicians and ROK will work closely with China to promote bilateral ties.
