font size

The gigantic luxurious passenger liner "Sapphire Princess", carrying 2,800 European and American tourists, has arrived in Shanghai and berthed at Waigaoqiao dock. As high as an eleven-storey building, with a total length of 290.4 metres and width of 48.2 metres, the "Sapphire Princess" passenger liner was launched in June 2004. The carrying capacity of the liner is 116,000 tons.

There are a plenty of flat roof cabins, water therapy massage centres as well as entertainment places on board. It is the first time that "Sapphire Princess" comes to Shanghai and it is also the first time that Shanghai receives the largest passenger liner since its opening to the foreign liners.
