font size

A delegation of 28 European ambassadors Thursday arrived in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, for a visit at the invitation of the provincial government.

The delegation, composed of the European Commission ambassador to China and ambassadors of 14 European countries, is headed by Luxembourg Ambassador to China Marc Ungeheuer, whose country now holds the rotating European Union (EU) presidency.

In the afternoon, the ambassadors participated in a Sichuan-EU economic exchange meeting. They will visit the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center in Chengdu, the Sanxingdui Ruins in Guanghan City, which is 40 kilometers from Chengdu, and some local companies in the following three days.
