The Nepali Home Ministry on Friday made public the whereabouts of 60 persons who were said to have gone missing from government custody.
Keshav Raj Ghimire, coordinator of the committee formed to investigate on those said to be missing from custody, presented a report to Home Minister Dan Bahadur Shahi on Thursday.
According to the report, 16 persons were released after general inquiry, six were released after incommunicado detention, 33 are still in detention, four had escaped by breaking the security cordon and another one was not arrested.
With the above 60, the Home Ministry has unveiled the whereabouts of 442 persons who were said to have gone missing from government custody.
