Company established for China's largest nuclear power project

Yangjiang Nuclear Power Co., Ltd was established on April 6 for Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant, China's largest nuclear power project in south China's Guangdong Province.

As a member of Guangdong Nuclear Power Holding Co., Ltd, the company is responsible for the construction and management of Yangjiang Nuclear Power Plant.

Approved in September 2004, Yangjiang nuclear power program is an important energy project in China's Tenth Five-Year Plan Period (2001-2005). Six nuclear power generating units at million-kilowatt level or more are to be built there.
