An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted the sea near Indonesia at 3:48 a.m. Friday

According to the Hong Kong Observatory, the epicenter was initially determined to be over the Molucca Sea, (2.9N 126.4E) Indonesia, about 230 kilometers northeast of Manado.
