Colombian President Alvaro Uribe Velez left Shanghai Saturday after concluding his four-day state visit to China.
Uribe, accompanied by a business delegation, described his first visit to China as "fruitful", saying Colombia has a strong desire for further cooperation between the two countries.
During his stay in Beijing, Uribe held talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, and met with Chinese top legislator Wu Bangguo and top advisory body chairman Jia Qinglin.
The two countries also signed five documents for further cooperation in the areas of plant and animal quarantine, information and telecommunication, film exhibition, economy and technology.
