A week-long Nepal Trade Fair to be held in China's Tibet Autonomous Region in September will receive ample assistance to promote Nepalese goods in China, a senior Nepali businessman said Saturday.
"The trade fair will help to strengthen the relation at the people's level," Chandi Raj Dhakal, first vice president of Federation of Nepalese Chamber and Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), told reporters after holding meeting with a business delegation from Tibet.
Leader of the Tibetan delegation Gao Shangde, deputy director of the Tibet Commerce Department, pointed out the need for simplification of customs procedures in Nepal-China trade, said Dhakal, who is coordinator of the Nepal-China Non-governmental Forum.
Meanwhile, the Chinese delegates met with officials of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Nepal Trans-Himalayan Trade Association separately on Saturday.
Subjects on bilateral trade, tourism promotion and investment promotion between the two countries were discussed during the meeting, according to press statements released after the meeting.
