Good news comes from the West-East Gas Transmission project , a landmark project of China' s West Development.

Following Yaha and Kela-2, Jilake condensed gas field, another field for gas supply in Tarim gas area, was put into operation on April 9. Till now, the first batch of gas fields in Tarim gas area have all started working.

The daily supply from Tarim will reach 19 million cubic meters at the end of April and the output capacity will exceed 8.5 billion cubic meters.

At the end of 2005, the gas fields will be able to provide 12 billion cubic meters, three years ahead of plan.

Up to April 9, 2005, Tarim oil field has delivered totally 154 million cubic meters of natural gas through west-east gas pipeline.
