Foreign Minister of the Netherlands Bernard Bot arrived in Beijing on Monday evening, continuing his official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Zhaoxing.

During his stay in Beijing, Bot is scheduled to meet with Vice-President Zeng Qinghong and State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan, respectively, and hold talks with Li Zhaoxing. He will also deliver a speech at the Chinese Institute of International Studies.

Prior to his arrival in Beijing, Bot has visited Hong Kong, and the cities of Shenzhen and Huizhou in south China's Guangdong Province.

This is Bot's second visit to China as foreign minister since 2003.
