Nearly 400 journalists from more than 100 domestic and international media organizations will cover the Annual Conference 2005 of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA).

The BFA Annual Conference 2005 will be held from April 22 to 24 in Boao, a scenic coastal town in South China.

Duan Wei, media chief of the BFA Secretariat, released that 349 journalists were registered by April 11, of these 218 are from organizations in Chinese mainland and 131 from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao and abroad.

The major Chinese media organizations, including Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, CCTV, China Radio International, China News Service, will attend. Phoenix TV, TVB, Ta Kung Pao, Hong Kong Standard, South China Morning Post, Macao Daily News, TTV and other organizations of media from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have been also registered by the secretariat.

Reuters, AP, AFP, Kyodo News, BBC, Asahi Shimbun, CBC, and Wall Street Journal will also come to Boao to report the conference.

Since there will be a special session of China and Australia-The Energy Future and John Howard, Prime Minister of Australia will attend the conference as an honorary guest, many Australian organizations of media have applied and been registered for reporting the conference.

Although registration of journalists ended April 10, many organizations still want to get the opportunity to report on the conference. There will be nearly 400 journalists reporting in Boao.
