Commissioner's Office: no comments on China's internal affairs welcomed
font size

A spokesman for the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region said Wednesday that "we do not welcome or need any foreign governments to comment on China's internal affairs, including Hong Kong's political affairs."

The spokesman made the remarks in response to a newly released US-Hong Kong Policy Act Report by the US Department of State.

"We have noticed the so called US-Hong Kong Policy Report," he said. "We actively support the Hong Kong SAR to expand economic, trade, cultural, scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation with the United States in line with the Basic Law."
