China's Anqing, South Africa's Kwazulu-Natal forge sister-city ties

Anqing, a city of east China's Anhui Province, and Ladysmith, a city of South Africa's Kwazulu-Natal province, signed a memorandum of establishing sister-city relations at an investment meeting held recently.

Ladysmith lies between South Africa's major airport and major export port, with an urban population of 200,000. Including the surrounding areas, the whole population of the city is 427,000. It has two industrial zones.
