Official rejects report about "5th inflation"
font size

The spokesman and vice secretary-general of the National Development and Reform Commission Cao Yushu rejected media's recent report about the "5th inflation".

According to Cao, price rise of productive materials will not result in change of consumer goods' price in short term. "Instead of further developing, cost's driving effect on price rise has been checked."

Price will remain stable in 2005 basically, and China is confident to keep the consumption price index under 4 percent this year, Cao said.
