A platform software association was set up in Beijing Thursday, with tens of billions of yuan expected to come in to boost Beijing's software industry development.

With the support of the Beijing government, the Changfeng standardized platform software will focus on software application,platform software technological innovation and electronic administration presentation.

Officials with the Beijing government said that the government will shift more focus from software R&D to application and promotion.

The association is made up of application integrators, platform software developers and third parties and will mainly promote Chinese platform software.
