font size

A resolution issued by the State Council defines 10 missions for China's economic reform in 2005. It calls for:

--- Further reform on the system of rural economy;

--- Further reform on state-owned enterprises and the management system of state-owned assets;

--- Improvement on the systematic environment of the development of the non-public economy;

--- Further reform on the financial system;

--- Further reform on the system of finance, taxation, investment and pricing;

--- Acceleration of building modern market mechanism;

--- Pushing forward the reform on the regime of science and technology, education, culture and health care;

--- Pushing forward the reform on the system of income distribution and social security;

--- Further reform on the system of foreign economic exchanges;

--- A faster pace of reform on the administration system.

The State Council shows its determination to deepen the economic reform in 2005 in a way that focuses are highlighted and are all pressed on. It requires that concrete steps and progress be made to address the current issues with a future-sake perspective.

It stresses the significance of innovation on the system and a switch of mechanism. And it is also absolutely necessary, the State Council says, to keep clear sight into the overall situation and manage well the relationship between the reform, the development and the stability.
