China's top procurator meets British counterpart

Chinese top procurator Jia Chunwang met Monday with his British counterpart Ken Macdonald.

They discussed the prospect of cooperation between the two procuratorate organs.

Jia, the procurator-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, said the cooperation between the two procuratorate organs is an important part of bilateral ties which has especially boomed since 1997, and the two sides have conducted frequent high- level visits as well as efficient professional exchange.

Speaking highly of the current cooperation, Macdonald said he expected more effective cooperation in various fields and at all levels with the Chinese counterpart.

Jia said the Chinese side will strive to strengthen the friendly cooperation between the two procuratorate organs.
