Leaders or their representatives from 29 African countries will attend a summit on the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) initiative on Tuesday, Egyptian organizers said on Monday.
The following is the list of participants:
1. Egypt: President Hosni Mubarak
2. Sudan: President Omar el-Bashir
3. Algeria: President Abdelaziz Bouteflika
4. Nigeria: President Olusegun Obasanjo
5. Botswana: President Festus Mogae
6. Malawi: President Bingu Wa Mutharik
7. Mozambique: President Armando Emilio Guebuza
8. Sierra Leone: President Almed Tegan Kabbah
9. Gabon: President Omar Bango
10. Congo: President Denis Sassou-Nguesso
11. Ethiopia: Prime Minister Meles Zenawi
12. Rwanda: Prime Minister Bernard Makuza
13. Lesotho: Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili
14. South Africa: Vice President Jacob Zuma.
In addition, Fifteen African countries, namely, Angola, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Libya, Kenya, Mali, Mauritius, Senegal, Zambia, Ghana, Sao Tome and Principe, Uganda, Cameroon, Benin and Tunisia, will be represented at the ministerial level.
The African Union (AU) will also dispatch its representatives to the meeting.
