China expressed its welcome to the recent peace process prospect between Pakistan and India, hoping for further dialogue.
"We welcome the consensus reached by Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on improving and developing relations," said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang on Tuesday.
Musharraf visited India from April 16 to 18 on his second journey to India in four years. The two Asian countries issued a joint statement, saying their peace process has become almost irreversible.
"China sincerely hopes Pakistan and India could keep momentum of dialogue so that they can solve their differences and achieve the goal of peaceful coexistence and common development," Qin said.
