    Map carved on stone discovered in Shaanxi

    A staff member of the Culture Center of Gaoling County, Shaanxi Province introduced a map carved onto a piece of stone which is stored in a farme's home on Apr 20. The lines of tropics, longitude and latitude carved on the stone resemble those on the east hemisphere of a world map nowadays. The map was carved on the 3rd year of the Xuantong reign period of Qing Dynasty (1911).
