CPC pledges to further promote multi-party cooperation

A senior official with the Communist Party of China (CPC) Wednesday called for more efforts to adhere to and further improve the multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of CPC.

"The solidarity and cooperation among different political parties should be further intensified so as to consolidate and expand the patriotic united front as much as possible," said Jia Qinglin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, when addressing the closing ceremony of a seminar on multi-party cooperation.

Jia particularly mentioned a document released earlier by the CPC Central Committee, in which it elaborated a series of suggestions on the improvement of China's multi-party cooperation work.

"We should follow these suggestions and work hard to promote the cooperation up to a new high in a bid to meet the requirements for the building of a well-off society in China," he said.
