17 Hong Kong residents injured in mainland traffic accident

Seventeen Hong Kong residents were injured in a traffic accident in Hunan Province Saturday afternoon, according to the Hong Kong government.

The accident occurred at 6:30 p.m. in Zhangjiajie of central-south China's Hunan Province. Seventeen of the traveling group of 34 Hong Kong residents were injured and received treatment in a local hospital. Two of them were hospitalized.

The group was on a packaged tour to the scenic area. All of thegroup members except the two hospitalized will fly back to Hong Kong Saturday night.
