No plan for regrouping telecom enterprises has been formulated
font size

Xi Guohua, vice-minister of Information Industry, indicated in Bo'ao, south China's Hainan Province that the speculation that Ministry of Information Industry (MII) will regroup telecommunication enterprises by taking advantage of the opportunity to issue 3G licenses has recently been spreading in society. That was only a fuss made by some enterprises out of their own interests, said the vice-minister. He clearly indicated: The ministry has not worked out any related policy decision.

Xi added that China's telecommunication industry has developed rapidly, and has so far embraced 650 million users, ranking first in the world.
