First homemade megawatt generator to go into operation
font size

The hoist of the first homemade megawatt wind-driven generator has been completed on April 24 in Dabancheng, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and will go into operation soon, which implies that China's wind-driven generator designing and manufacturing capability has reached advanced world level.

In the past, China had to import megawatt wind-driven generators from Denmark, Germany and some other countries, and the low rate of homemade wind-driven facilities has been a major bottleneck hindering the development of China's wind energy industry.
