A forum on the business opportunities in western China opened Monday in Chongqing, a booming municipality in southwestern China.

The forum, sponsored by Euromoney, will last for two days.

The forum has invited about 200 representatives from 60-plus international financial institutions and multinationals to discusson the development prospects of western China.

The forum will feature topics such as investment prospect, business risks and potentials and cooperation between overseas anddomestic enterprises.
