Helicopter crashes in southeastern France

A helicopter carrying several people crashed Monday near Tende, southeastern France, France's news channel TF1 reported.

Firefighters were immediately sent to the scene, near the town of Tende, of 2,000-meter-high in altitude, in the Alps near the border with Italy.

According to the rescuers, the exact number of passengers aboard the helicopter is still unknown.
