Shijiazhuang, capital of north China's Hebei Province, in cooperation with Hong Kong will hold a forum on trade promotion and economic cooperation, local government announced Monday.

"The forum would be carried out from Wednesday to Thursday in Shijiazhuang as part of the efforts to fulfill the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong,"said Ai Wenli, Deputy Secretary of the Shijiazhuang Committee of the Communist Party of China.

The forum will provide a platform for exchanges and bilateral corporations between local governments in Hebei and Hong Kong , he added.

Some Hong Kong officials, businessmen and scholars will attend the forum and visit local companies.
