Guangzhou to build the world's largest refuse processing plant

With a total investment of 320 million yuan, the franchising service contract of Likeng domestic garbage comprehensive processing project was officially signed. So far, Guangdong province has become the first city that processes the garbage processing techniques of landfill, burning and biological fertilizer.

As is learned that the garbage processing plant to be built has a daily processing scale of 1,000 tons, and is one of the seven large domestic garbage processing centres planned to constructed in downtown Guangzhou. The plant will be put into operation in 2007, and will be the world's largest comprehensive garbage processing project.
