Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister of Turkey Mehmet Ali Sahin arrived in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province Tuesday afternoon, to continue his China tour.

Zhang Zhongwei, governor of Sichuan Province, met Ali Sahin in the evening and gave the guest a brief introduction about Sichuan and told him what the province has done in fields of administration and sports.

Ali Sahin said that his visit is aimed at enhancing exchanges and cooperation with China in areas of personnel, administration, supervision, sports and youth work. In addition, he will want to learn the reform achievements made by Chinese provinces.

During his stay in Beijing, he met Chinese State Councilors Hua Jianmin and Chen Zhili Monday.

Ali Sahin will stay in Sichuan for two days and he will hold talks with some young people in the province and youth workers.

He is also scheduled to visit a few historic sites and a panda breeding base in Chengdu.
