No need for curbs over Chinese textile exports, Supachai

In light of the attempt from Europe and the US to restrict the growth of Chinese textile exports, WTO director-general Supachai Panitchpakdi noted recently that it is wrong to adopt trade protectionism measure to restrict the growth of Chinese textile exports only several months after the lift of quota on textile products.

Those countries that intend to take protectionism measures should wait at least one year after the lift of quota on textile products, further added Supachai.
