Lien Chan says mainland trip hard-won, will cherish opportunity

The visiting KMT Chairman Lien Chan said Thursday upon his arrival in Beijing that he cherishes this mainland visit as it is a hard-won opportunity.

"It's not easy for me, my wife, my friends and colleagues to leave and to come," said Lien after the KMT delegation he is heading arrived in Beijing Thursday morning. "We very much cherish this valuable opportunity and would wish to listen to, see, learn and talk about more things."
