Two Chinese companies will get listed on Nasdaq in the next two weeks, said Stuart Patterson, general supervisor of Nasdaq's Asia-Pacific operations. He added that a total of 20 Chinese companies, mostly manufacturing rather than hi-tech companies, will join the listings.
Mr. Pantterson said Nasdaq is very optimistic about China's telecommunication, banking and insurance, automobile and steel currently and is actively developing contacts with state-owned enterprises in these sectors.
