A senior CPC official said Thursday that the Communist Party of China (CPC) is ready to step up exchanges and cooperation with all political parties in Germany so as to push forward the development of the relations between China and Germany.

Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remark during a meeting with Thomas Jurk, Minister of Economy and Labor and President of German Social Democratic Party in Saxony, Germany.

Speaking positively of the Sino-German ties, Wang said the friendly exchanges among political parties of the two countries played an active role in promoting relations between the two countries.

Jurk said he was deeply impressed by the rapid development of China's economy. Germany is ready to forge stronger ties with CPC and German enterprises also hoped to enhance cooperation with their Chinese counterparts, he said.
