Yunnan judicial delegation visits LaosA Chinese judicial delegation left Kunming, capital city of south China's Yunnan Province Thursday, starting its seven-day tour of Laos. The delegation, made up of six judges from Yunnan Provincial Higher People's Court, went to Laos to give training to their counterparts in the country. According to a memorandum of understanding between the two countries' supreme people's courts, China will provide a five-year judicial training program, including five annual sessions, to Lao judges. Held in Yunnan's capital Kunming in December 2003, the first session had ten Laotian judges from the country's provincial higher people's courts. |
