National food industry records 30% increase in the first quarter

Wang Wenzhe, president of China National Food Industry Association, said recently that the food industry in China has realised a total profits of 30.386 billion yuan in the first quarter this year, a year-on-year of 30.31 percent, with the newly added profits standing at 7.068 billion yuan.

It is reported that the total profit and tax of the food industry in the first quarter this year reached 83.858 billion yuan, up 20.8 percent from last year, accounting for 16.29 percent of the national industrial economy.
