font size

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Ramon Perez Roque on Monday exchanged views via phone call on deepening and expand bilateral cooperation.

The Cuban foreign minister was in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, for a stopover when Li made the phone call.

Over the phone, the two ministers also discussed the implementation of consensus reached by leaders of the two countries.

Chinese President Hu Jintao visited Cuba last November. Raul Castro Ruz, second secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, first vice-president of the Council of State and the first vice-president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, visited China last month.
