Two US warplanes missing in Iraq
font size

Two US jet fighters with two pilots were reportedly missing over Iraq after they disappeared from radar screens, the US military said on Tuesday.

The US military lost contact with two of its military jets over Iraq and a search was under way to locate the F-18s, which had taken off from the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, the military said.

US navy officials said the jets had been involved in midair collision.
