font size

The visiting Chairman of the People First Party (PFP) in Taiwan James CY Soong left Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, for Nanjing, the second leg on his nine-day mainland tour, at around 5:33 p.m. Friday.

Soong said he would love to revisit the northwestern province to tour more places and contact with more people while addressing the audience who went to the airport to see the PFP delegation off.

The PFP leader also pledged to try his best to eradicate cross-Straits misunderstanding.

The PFP delegation paid homage to the mausoleum of Huangdi, a figure widely regarded as the ancestor of all the Chinese, Friday morning.

Soong arrived in Xi'an Thursday afternoon. He will also visit Nanjing, Shanghai, Changsha, and Beijing on his mainland mission, scheduled to conclude on April 13.
