China will hold a ceremony to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the victory of China's Anti-Japanese War and World War II, according to a notice issued in Beijing Saturday.

According to the notice issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China will also host a large commemorative exhibition and a seminar. All overseas patriots, generals or soldiers of the Anti-Japanese War and their families, international friends who helped fight in the war and their families will be invited to attend.

China will screen commemorative movies and TV series, print related publications and issue stamps and coins in memory of the victory of the war, the notice said.

According to the notice, the activities will focus on the historic significance of the victory of China's War against Japanese Aggression. The activities will also show the war's importance in the World Anti-Fascist War by highlighting patriotism and Chinese people's reform and innovative spirit.

According to the notice, China's eight-year-long Anti-Japanese War is an important part of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese people made tremendous sacrifices and historic contributions to the defeat of fascism in the world.

The notice said that the commemorative activities should spotlight the historic contributions of the Anti-Japanese United Front established under the suggestion of the CPC to leading the whole nation to defeat Japanese imperialist aggressors.

The CPC played a central part in uniting the nation to fight the war, said the notice, adding that the commemorative activities were aimed to motivate Chinese descendants both at home and abroad to strive for China's rejuvenation and the world's peace and development.
