font size

Hubei Province announced in HK Saturday that it would seek more economic and trade cooperation with Hong Kong by way of introducing 100 projects for investment.

The 100 projects are involved in infrastructure, high and new technology, property, textile, agriculture, logistics and tourism.

Han Xuezhong, Vice-Governor of Hubei Province, said that, by the end of 2004, Hong Kong ventures had invested over 5 billion US dollars in 5,659 Hubei companies. Hong Kong's capital accounts 40 percent of the total overseas investment in Hubei.

According to him, the economic and trade ties with Hong Kong were one of the momentum for the economic development of Hubei, which has great prospect for cooperation with Hong Kong ventures.
