NPC vice-chairwoman meets Japanese guests

He Luli, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) met with Keishu Arita, president of Japanese Soto Zen Buddhism Sunday in Beijing.

He welcomed Arita's visit and expressed her belief that the president's China tour would have a postive impact on improving mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

Arita pledged that the Buddhist group would make a contribution to promote the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
