Cyprian FM starts 4-day China tour

Cyprian Foreign Minister George Iacovou arrived in Beijing Sunday afternoon, starting his four-day official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Zhaoxing.

During his stay in Beijing, Iacovou will meet or hold talks with Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong and Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, respectively.

Iacovou is also expected to attend a reception held in the Cyprian embassy in Beijing, tour a series of scenic spots including the Forbidden City and Summer Place and watch a Peking Opera performance.

Iacovou is scheduled to conclude his visit, the second since 1984, on Wednesday.
