Chen Bingde, director of the General Armament Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), left Beijing Monday for an official goodwill visit to Italy, Belarus and Britain.

Chen, also member of the Central Military Commission, paid the visit at the invitation of the armed forces of the three countries.
