Interior Minister Jose Antonio Alonso told the press on Monday that the detainees -- three men and a woman -- collected information about targets of armed attack.
According to Alonso, the move was part of an operation begun inNovember to dismantle the infrastructure network supporting ETA. Before the Monday capture, some 10 other ETA members had been arrested.
The operation is not over, and the security forces will continue their investigations and swoops in regions where they have seized documents from the separatist organization, he added.
