Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held talks Tuesday with his Cyprian counterpart George Iacovou on the development of the relations between the two countries.

They made positive comments on the China-Cyprus relations and agreed that the two governments will enhance mutually beneficial cooperation and exchanges in the fields of economy and trade, culture, education and tourism, promoting long-term and steady development of bilateral ties.

Iacovou reiterated that Cyprus will adhere to the one-China policy.

The two ministers also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.

Iacovou arrived here Sunday afternoon on a four-day official visit to China as guest of Li.
